Players of Animal Crossing will be happy. Animal Crossing New Horizons is again taking off to the sea- to Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo promised on Thursday, October 30, that the version with the fixes of the comfortable life-sim game would be released on January 15, 2026, and it is not coming without some exciting changes.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is set to be released with a number of new advances. The new series can support the 4K television resolution, controls left Joy-Con are in the form of a mouse, and a built-in megaphone can be employed in the game with the assistance of the inbuilt microphone of the Switch 2.
Gamers are able to yell the names of villains – and that they will do. It also adds to the number of online players to 12, the highest number of multiplayers established in the series so far.
CameraPlay is also new whereby the player can tie a USB camera using which they can view and watch how the other player reacts in real time fusion.
The game will also be retained online and in stores at $64.99 and on the shelves as an upgrade pack at $4.99 to those who have already bought the Switch version. On Nintendo Shop, the preorders can be purchased.
It is not the only thing that you can see. Nintendo will also publish a free content update of each version on the same day. The Kappn family is setting up a beach hotel in the seaside where the players will be given permission to adorn the rooms of the guests, and to help them to receive the visitors. It has new souvenir store, theme furniture and even guest costumes.
It also opens the prospect of a Reset Service by Resetti, which is a larger storage capacity of up to 9,000 items and a new experience of Slumber Island where Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can create, store, and share up to three islands jointly.
Nintendo claims that the update will include fun to play with crossover items LEGO sets and The Legend of Zelda amiibo rewards. Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and an update, free of charge, are released on January 15. The free update that brings the game up to level 3.0 will offer numerous new features, for instance a pier- side hotel. The hotel comes with a souvenir shop that will add retro Nintendo products as the brand recognition of the hotel rises. These comprises old Nintendo toys like Ultra Machine, Ultra Hand, Love Tester and consoles like NES, Game Boy, Famicom, Super Famicom, and Famicom Disk System. The new update will also offer additional collaboration items through Nook Shopping including various official Lego creations.
