Animal Crossing returns as Nintendo Switch 2 Edition: Release date, time, price and more details 

Players of Animal Crossing will be happy. Animal Crossing New Horizons is again taking off to the sea- to Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo promised on Thursday, October 30, that the version with the fixes of the comfortable life-sim game would be released on January 15, 2026, and it is not coming without some exciting changes.

Nintendo claims that the update will include fun to play with crossover items LEGO sets and The Legend of Zelda amiibo rewards. Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and an update, free of charge, are released on January 15. The free update that brings the game up to level 3.0 will offer numerous new features, for instance a pier- side hotel. The hotel comes with a souvenir shop that will add retro Nintendo products as the brand recognition of the hotel rises. These comprises old Nintendo toys like Ultra Machine, Ultra Hand, Love Tester and consoles like NES, Game Boy, Famicom, Super Famicom, and Famicom Disk System.
