The servers of ARC Raiders seem to be offline and players report that they are stuck in a queue to play the game. The ARC Raiders Community Manager of the game Embark has written in the official Discord of the game that the developer knows about the issue and is working to fix it.
One cannot tell whether the problems are caused by the sheer number of players that access the servers or it is just an unfortunate coincidence. ARC Raiders also conducted a successful server slam before the launch, and the initial few days of the game life after its release on October 30 were fairly connection problem free.
According to the latest update on the game posted by ARCRaidersNews on X, the most recent update on the game by Embark has indicated that the game has server problems, issues with voice chat, and party system.
The problems seem to have begun shortly after 10 am PST when players complained that they were unable to load back into the game as they were caught in loading queues.
Players that can make it into a match post stating that they were being placed into parties with other players even though crossplay off is on and they are waiting to play a solo ARC Raiders match.
Despite the current server troubles, ARC Raiders continues to be enjoying huge concurrent player counts and currently, it has more than 300,000 players on the Steam alone.
The game ranks as the 4th most active game on Steam with the number of concurrent players, only second to Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, and Battlefield 6. As all three of these games now feature a free-to-play aspect thanks to the launch of Battlefield 6 RedSec, the numbers of these players count will be an even more impressive feat with ARC Raiders as a paid experience.
It is no wonder that server-related problems would emerge where ARC Raiders had such success in just a few days since it’s release. The solution to these connectivity issues has not been announced yet among ARC Raiders Players, but Embark has continued updating then through its official Discord.
It is also yet to be announced whether the players of ARC Raiders will be compensated in any way due to this downtime.
In a post on the game’s official Discord channel, community manager Oscar from Embark Studios acknowledged the issue and said the team was working to restore the servers.
“Hey Raiders! We are aware of an ongoing issue with our servers, and are currently investigating! We will keep you in the loop as well learn more,” the message read at 12:28 am CET.
