PS5 console discounted by up to £135 as Sony announces Balck Friday 2025

In its upcoming sale on Black Friday, Sony is giving the best discount ever on the PlayStation 5, and all right at the eve of Christmas.

A credible rumour last week held that all PlayStation 5 models would receive a significant price reduction in Europe, as part of the Black Friday sale in 2021.

This is officially confirmed by Sony and that its discounts on Black Friday will be applicable on some of its games among other PlayStation hardware in the UK.

PlayStation 5 console is undoubtedly a very costly purchase, and with two price increases, yet the digital version of the console has been heavily discounted by £135 now is one sale that needs to be considered.

The online version of PlayStation 5 will be priced at £294.99, that is lower than the initial £359.99 price at the time when the game was released in 2020.

The base model of the console will be £90 off, similar to the temporary discounts of the past, except the fact that the latter is already £389.99, which is much more appealing than the typical £479.99 sticker.

Though it will still be the most costly of the three models, the £5 Pro will also be priced lower by £90, which will result in a new price of £609.99.

One more piece of information that appeared as a result of the leak described above was two new Fortnite -related console packages that Sony also confirmed. The bundles will be the digital and standard standard versions of the console dubbed as the Fortnite Flowering Chaos Bundle.

They will include certain exclusive in-game content and Fortnite virtual currency, but they will be priced just as much as the consoles themselves: £389.99 with the base bundle and £294.99 with the digital one 

Regarding the games that will be reduced in price, Sony has already listed examples of God Of War Ragnarök, Astro Bot and Death Stranding 2 but it is not disclosed how the price will be lowered and the list will definitely be significantly longer.

Finally, Sony is already conducting discounts on controllers, earbuds, PlayStation VR2 headsets, and the PlayStation Portal remote player. The following is a summary of their price cuts:

PlayStation VR2- £309.99 (£90 off)
PULSE Explore wireless earbuds- £169.99 (£30 off)
PULSE Elite- £109.99 (£20 off)
Dual sense wireless controller – £169.99 (£30 off).
Dual Sense wireless controller – £44.99 (£20 off)

Such deals will be activated on the PlayStation Direct site and the PlayStation 5 store starting Friday, November 21, yet Sony has not indicated the timeframe of the end of such discounts.
