The Xiaomi 17 Pro Max was able to outperform the Vivo X300 Pro in the AnTuTu test of the GPU.
The new flagship phone of the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Vivo X300 Pro, was released in China on Monday along with the entry-level Vivo X300. The differences in performance between the two handsets are brought out by the handset passing an AnTuTu CPU benchmark test over the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max.
The Vivo smartphone was better in CPU and memory with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC, whereas the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in the flagship device of Xiaomi provided higher results with the GPU operating speed and higher score of the UX test. The findings also highlight the so-called cost leadership that MediaTek has been boasting of and this the Dimensity 9500 provides a formidable option to the chips of Qualcomm.
Vivo X300 Pro vs Xiaomi 17 Pro Max: Vivo is better in terms of CPU, Xiaomi better in terns of GPU
In an X (formerly Twitter) post, tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore (@Sudhanshu1414) has provided the AnTuTu scores of the Vivo X300 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max that are supported by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipsets respectively.
The Vivo X300 Pro Satellite Communication Edition got 3,956,885 points in the AnTuTu benchmark, which is a bit higher than the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max which got 3,731,074 points.
Comparing the CPU performance, the Vivo handset received 1,030,180 as compared to 1,018,631 points in Xiaomi meaning that it had a bit more general processing capability and speed in areas where it was required.
Under the category of memory performance, Vivo smartphone (that uses MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Chip) scores 709,892 points than the Xiaomi one (using Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC), which scores 524,484 points, which is better in multitasking and handling large applications.
In the case of UX, Vivo X300 Pro scored 7956 points as compared to Vivo which scored 762,935, indicating that Xiaomi 17 Pro Max has a potential to provide a slightly smoother and more refined user interface.
The figures paint a different picture in case of GPU performance. Vivo X300 Pro with the score of 1,453,877 scored more than 9 percent of users, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max with the score of 1,392,956 scored more than 99 percent of users.
This demonstrates the fact that though the raw numbers are a little higher, the Vivo X300 Pro has a weaker GPU as compared to other devices, this, the Xiaomi handset would be a better option when it comes to graphics intensive work, such as gaming.
