Sony has announced the new PlayStation Plus monthly games for January 2026. The titles are Need for Speed Unbound, Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, and Core Keeper. All three games will be available to PlayStation Plus Essential members starting Tuesday, January 6, and will remain free to download until Monday, February 2.
Need for Speed Unbound is an open-world racing game that mixes high-speed street racing with bold visual style and customisation. Players can drive a variety of cars, participate in events, and upgrade their vehicles while exploring a stylised city environment. The game is known for its fast action and strong online and offline modes.
Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is a remastered version of the classic platform-adventure game. It lets players control Mickey Mouse as he travels through a forgotten Disney world filled with forgotten characters and creative levels. The remake includes updated graphics, smoother controls, and extra content for both new players and fans of the original.
Core Keeper is a 2D sandbox adventure game with mining, crafting,, and exploration. Players dig deep underground, gather resources, build bases, fight monsters, and uncover secrets in a procedurally generated world. The game supports both single-player and co-op, making it a good choice for small groups of friends.
These monthly games are part of the PlayStation Plus Essential tier. Members can add them to their library and download them at any time during the promotion window. As long as a user keeps an active PlayStation Plus subscription, they can continue playing these titles even after the monthly window ends.
PlayStation also reminded players that December’s PlayStation Plus games—LEGO Horizon Adventures, Killing Floor 3, The Outlast Trials, Synduality: Echo of Ada, and Neon White—remained available until January 5. This gives members a short overlap to grab last month’s titles if they have not already downloaded them.
Sony noted that, from January 2026, PlayStation 4 games will be added to the monthly lineup only intermittently. The focus for new monthly releases is shifting more toward PS5 titles, though PS4 owners will still get access where supported.
In addition to monthly games, PlayStation Plus continues to offer multiplayer, cloud storage, exclusive discounts, and access to the Game Catalogue and Classics Catalogue for Extra and Premium members. The monthly games remain one of the most popular perks of the service, giving subscribers a fresh set of full-game downloads every month.
